In September 2019, Modece Property (our new development wing), bought The Old Fox Yard in Stowmarket. This will become our new home and in the following months we plans to restore and refurbish parts of the Grade II listed building.

The history of The Old Fox Yard stretches back to the 16th century, starting off as a coaching inn known then as The Fox Hotel. The inn had a series of owners and by the middle of the 19th century had become a large complex of buildings including the double fronted structure we see today.

In terms of the planned works; the first job is to redecorate all of the shopfronts and the courtyard. We’ll also be installing new planters, lighting and rainwater goods.

Works begin this week and we’ll be posting regular updates of our progress!
